PhilTake #20 - The Power of Premise, Part 5

Every business has six critical elements called Morphemes. This PhilTake ends our discussion on the first Morpheme – The Premise. What buyer behavior is the business set up to address?

Previous posts have used famous companies (Coca Cola, Chick-Fil-A, etc.) to illustrate a point. Chances are, if you’re reading this, you either own or operate a much smaller business. In fact, you might be the business.

So how do sole proprietors or small business owners craft their premise? Don’t do it based on product or price. On Entreleadership podcast #189, best-selling author Andy Andrews suggests, “the real product is you… You trump price and product.”

Every business has a product. Every business has a price. There’s only one business that has you. Leverage your greatest asset.

In PhilTake #21, we introduce our second Morpheme – The Promise.
