My son recently began his entrepreneurial career, knowing there would be tough times ahead. Like every aspiring entrepreneur before him, he didn’t know HOW tough. You never do, until you’re in it.
It didn’t take him long to find out. The first challenge was a delay in promised money. He had faith the funds would arrive, and they did – just late. Sound familiar?
What advice did I give him? Keep your mouth shut and your body moving.
I paraphrased a lyric from If You're Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows) by Rodney Atkins.
“When you are going through hell, just keep going…. you might get out before the devil even knows you are there.”
Hell is the one common place every entrepreneur visits. When you get there, it may seem like you’re out of options.
But, you’re not. The option to keep moving is always there. And sometimes, before you realize it, hell is in the rear-view mirror….and no one, not even the devil himself, knew you were there.
How do you get through tough times?
