As a business owner, I confess I’m sometimes insane.
Let me explain.
My business, like yours, is the net result of the decisions made and actions taken to this point.
The results are commonly seen in terms of sales, receivables, profit, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
If I want to improve the results, I need to review the decisions made and actions taken and determine how I can make better decisions and take better actions to generate better results in the future.
Too often, I have failed to take that step.
As a business owner, I own the results of my company’s activities, and if these results stem from decisions made and actions taken, I own those as well.
If I don’t own my decisions and actions, I will clone my approach and get the same results.
As the popular saying goes, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.”
That’s why I’m sometimes insane.
